10:30am Gentle Movement Series continues!!!

Join Tammy Wilcox for this gentle movement exercise class. 
Wear comfortable clothing and shoes, and bring a mat if you have one.

Therapy dogs come in all shapes and sizes.  They're cute, they're cuddly and they know their jobs.  They help kids, teens, senior citizens, moms, dads and caregivers.

And that's why there will be dogs here in the Library :)

Join Genealogist Katherine Willson to learn to publish your family history using Organizational tools for sharing with others (in a variety of formats) the genealogy materials we already have.

YOGA with Tammy Wilcox

Join Tammy Wilcox for this YOGA exercise class.  

Wear comfortable clothing and shoes, and a yoga mat will be needed for this class. Some exercises are done from the floor. 

The Calligraphy Club meets the second Wednesday of each month from 2:30-4pm at the West Elmira Library. Bring your own supplies to work on the monthly theme, or anything else you prefer. The club is an open-ended chance to learn from each other.

Summertime is bird watching time! Let’s make bird feeders out of wooden sticks and then paint them in acrylic paints to add a bit of color to your yard! Learn about the birds in the Elmira area that will be coming to snack too!

Celebrate Summer making a Pressed Flower Lantern. Participants decorate small glass yogurt jars with ModPodge and dried flowers. Then add an electric candle. All materials provided.
 

Create a Seashell Wind Spinner to hang in the breeze.

Paint your very own Jackson Pollock design! In celebration of Summer Reading Club 'Color Our World,' join us in the Steele parking lot for a messy artistic experience while learning about abstract expressionism. Rain or shine.

Our book club meets the 2nd Friday of the month at Bulkhead Hardware in Southport at 1:30pm.

This our 3rd annual Paint like Pollock program. Participants label the canvas with their name and as a group we make a large Pollock-esque painting by throwing, splattering, dropping paint onto the canvases. 

Fine Art Charcoal Drawing for adults. This class will be focusing on how to draw in charcoal. We will learn how to use perspective, shading and composition to draw using the techniques of charcoal pencils and sticks.
