CCLD offers free notary public services. You must make an appointment. We will not accept walk-ins, but we will accept same-day appointments. Appointments can be made in person, by email, or over the phone 607-733-9173.
Please take note of the following:
- Your appointment will not be a guarantee that your documents can be notarized.
- Notary service is limited and is not available for documents without pre-printed notarial wording, power of attorney, mortgage documents, deeds, wills, living wills, living trusts, divorce, codicils, depositions, vital records, immigration, or I-9 and financial documents.
- The notary cannot perform oaths of office.
- Notaries cannot certify the authenticity of a document or provide legal advice or counseling regarding documents.
- The notary reserves the right to refuse service at their discretion.
- You can have up to 3 documents notarized.
- You can be under the age of 18, but you must have the correct witnesses and ID.
Please bring the following to your appointment:
- The entire document you need notarized. These must be filled out before you get to the notary but should not be signed.
- A current, government-issued photo ID that has been signed. Acceptable forms of ID- driver’s license, non-driver’s license, passport, military ID. ID cannot be expired.
- Any witnesses, if you need them, must also have a current, government-issued photo ID.
