Teen Acting Lab of Elmira!  Want to try out acting in a fun, no -pressure way?  7th-12th graders learn acting skills through improv games, and more with actor and writer, educator Tim Collins.  All levels of ability welcome.

Book Lanterns.  Join us at the Big Flats Library,  learn the art of making an adorable book lantern.  Class size limited to 15. Please register to attend.   Call 607-562-3300.  Or register online.

Come join our winter story circle each wednesday morning at 1030.  Intended audience is toddlers but all are welcome!

Create and construct with the library's play dough and tools.

Big Flats Teens; stop by the BF Library and decorate your Valentine or "Anti-Valentine Journal.   All materials are provided. 

Recommended for teens/tweens

Choose from a variety of provided supplies to create the perfect Valentines Day card with Miss Haley!

To bring light and joy into our lives this year we will be creating little "Thankful Jars"! This will be a fun and quick craft to decorate your tag and compile pretty scraps of paper to put your thankful thoughts onto.

Join us for another needle felting session.

Happy Valentine's Day! Decorate cookies & play Bingo!

Bring your own knitting supplies and join volunteer Christina for knitting instruction, or just to hang out and knit with others.

Join Miss Haley for the classic winter book by author and illustrator, Ezra Jack Keats! Plus a craft & snack.

Enjoy a laid-back time coloring in one of our many themed coloring books. Choose from a variety of coloring media—markers, colored pencils, crayons, and more!

Want to learn how to draw with colored pencils? We will be going over the basic techniques to learn how to use colored pencils and the ways you can use markings, perspective and shades to create a wonderful work of art.

Celebrate the Lunar New Year with us.  We will read some stories and make a craft.

Explore science with marshmallows! Who can build the tallest marshmallow tower?

Celebrate February making a sea glass wind chime. Patron selects 35 sea glass pieces which are then glued to five strands of fishing line. The five sea glass strands are then attached to a wooden dowel.

Learn how to create these unique mini lights with Ping Pong balls!

Open to ages 8+.

All materials provided.
