Teen Acting Lab of Elmira!  Want to try out acting in a fun, no -pressure way?  7th-12th graders learn acting skills through improv games, and more with actor and writer, educator Tim Collins.  All levels of ability welcome.

The Calligraphy Club meets the second Wednesday of each month from 2:30-4pm at the West Elmira Library. Bring your own supplies to work on the monthly theme, or anything else you prefer. The club is an open-ended chance to learn from each other.

Create and construct with the library's play dough and tools.

This is the last session until July 2025.  Teen creative writing will start up again on Wed. July 9! 

Ready to make your very own Halloween Trick or Treat Bag? We are going to use the heat press so if you have an image that you would like to have on your bag just bring it in, a flash drive or an actual photo is great.

Join Mr. Jeff for storytime!

Storytime is the perfect place for your little one to learn literacy skills, play with other children, and stay entertained!

Join the Huddle!  We will do a deep dive into picture books looking at the social studies, math, science, art and language arts topics that are introduced.

Do you have a toddler?  Bring them to Toddler Toy Time!  They can play with educational toys and have a chance to socialize with other kids.  You can talk to other people that are caring for toddlers.

Join us at Steele Memorial Library on the second Thursday of each month to learn more about services and programs offered by Catholic Charities of Chemung and Schuyler Counties.

7th-12th graders watch, discuss anime and eat snacks. Cosplay encouraged. Hang out, bring a friend!

Our book club meets the 2nd Friday of the month at Bulkhead Hardware in Southport at 1:30pm.

Meet Pokémon GO players in the area, make new friends, set up lures, and do trades!

Note: There is an off-site component to the group; anyone under 16 must be accompanied by a guardian to participate.

Therapy dogs come in all shapes and sizes.  They're cute, they're cuddly and they know their jobs.  They help kids, teens, senior citizens, moms, dads and caregivers.

And that's why there will be dogs here in the Library :)
