Choose from a variety of provided supplies to create the perfect Valentines Day card with Miss Haley!

Wednesday, February 11th 5:30pm-7:30pm 

Intended for ages 3-12

Teens experience fun writing prompts, create characters, and stories or a play based on their own interests.  All levels of ability and writing interests welcome!  Group facilitated by writer/actor/educator Tim Collins.

To bring light and joy into our lives this year we will be creating little "Thankful Jars"! This will be a fun and quick craft to decorate your tag and compile pretty scraps of paper to put your thankful thoughts onto.

Join CCLD Genealogy Librarian Maggie to learn about how to find and use newspapers online for your family history or general research. 

7th-12th graders watch, discuss anime and eat snacks. Cosplay encouraged. Hang out, bring a friend!

Happy Valentine's Day! Decorate cookies & play Bingo!

7th-12th graders! Join us at the Steele Library for the after hours Teen Snow Ball! It’s going to be a magical night where everyone can feel included and celebrated. With help from the Chemung County Youth Bureau and the awesome S.P.O.T.

Bring your own knitting supplies and join volunteer Christina for knitting instruction, or just to hang out and knit with others.

7th- 12th graders Each Saturday enjoy snacks and watch a movie in the Steele teen space that showcases black excellence

During the month of February, take up the challenge of our first Bird Bingo! Participants will have 3 destinations to visit, spot the birds within that space, and mark it on your Bingo card.

Join Miss Haley for the classic winter book by author and illustrator, Ezra Jack Keats! Plus a craft & snack.

Join Miss Haley for a movement class that will include energy burning activities like dancing, coordination games, & gross motor skills practice!

Learn about chocolate and taste test different flavors!

Want to learn how to draw with colored pencils? We will be going over the basic techniques to learn how to use colored pencils and the ways you can use markings, perspective and shades to create a wonderful work of art.

Teen Daniel leads an additional session of D&D for teens that is beginning D&D player friendly all skill levels welcome. 
 

Looking for others to play Magic the Gathering with? Stop by Steele Memorial Library to play Commander on the third Tuesday of the month from 5:30-7:45pm. All experience levels welcome!

Teen Acting Lab of Elmira!  Want to try out acting in a fun, no -pressure way?  7th-12th graders learn acting skills through improv games, and more with actor and writer, educator Tim Collins.  All levels of ability welcome.

Make a little lovebug with Miss Tammie!

Cooking Club for 7th-12th graders. Teens learn about cooking, they can try out different foods and cooking styles using the library’s kitchen tools and their own ingredients.
