This presentation will reveal how you can use poetry to bring those stories to life. Learn to write poems free verse, acrostics, and rhyming poems that will introduce your ancestors to all family members. Tell about the records you have found, the memories you have, or your personal genealogy journey. Leave the class with tools and confidence to share your history in a new way with those you love.

About the Presenter: Allyson Maughan is a genealogy speaker, writer, and consultant. She accredited in the Southwest gaining her AG from ICAPGen. She completed Gen Proof in 2023, ProGen 53 in 2022, and a Genealogy Certificate from SLCC in 2019. She graduated from Idaho State University in 2001. She volunteers with UGA as a board member over Education Committee. She enjoys historical pictures and poetry writing. She lives in SLC with her husband and three girls.
